Johannes Wildt

Johannes Wildt (born February 24, 1945 in Witten ) is a German professor for university didactics at the Technical University of Dortmund .

education

From 1964 to 1970 Wildt studied psychology and educational science at the universities of Innsbruck , Münster and Bielefeld with the minor subjects philosophy and sociology. He obtained his diploma in psychology in 1970 and received his doctorate in education in 1979. From 1970 to 1971 he was a scientific employee at the Hochschul-Informations-System GmbH, Hanover. He then worked as a research assistant at the Interdisciplinary Center for University Didactics at Bielefeld University until 1974. From 1974 to 1997 he was a research assistant, academic advisor and senior advisor at the Interdisciplinary Center for University Didactics at Bielefeld University. From 1997 to 2012 Wildt was a professor at the University Didactic Center of the Technical University of Dortmund for general university didactics with a focus on interdisciplinary issues of teacher training. He was co-opted as a university professor in the departments of education and biology at the Technical University of Dortmund. His teaching activities extended to the areas of university didactics and educational science (general university didactics, teacher training, interdisciplinary studies, project and problem-oriented learning, higher education didactic training and supervision). He spent several research stays in the USA and in Novgorod. Wildt has been retired since April 1, 2012.

Honors

  • On December 6, 2000, Wildt was awarded an honorary doctorate by the Novgorod University.
  • On June 24, 2003 he received the award for “Outstanding Achievements in International University Cooperation” from the University Rectors' Conference

Johannes Wildt Award for Young Scientists for University Didactic Research

The German Society for University Didactics (dghd) has been awarding the "Johannes Wildt Young Talent Award for University Didactic Research" since 2014 as part of its annual conference. The prize is shared equally by Prof. Dr. Dr. hc Johannes Wildt, long-time director of the University Didactic Center at TU Dortmund University, and the dghd. Anyone who has dealt with questions of university didactic university and educational research in their thesis (dissertation, master's thesis, etc.) can apply.
