Johannsen Loch is a 1.1 km long bay on the north coast of South Georgia . It is located 1.5 km north of Ocean Harbor in the east of the Barff Peninsula .
The name of the bay appears for the first time on a map that was created during survey work as part of the British Discovery Investigations between 1926 and 1930. The naming is probably further back and the namesake is not known.
