John Tracy Clinic

The John Tracy Clinic is considered to be one of the most famous clinics in the world associated with the rehabilitation of hearing impaired and deaf children. It was founded in 1943 . The clinic has been based near the University of Southern California in Los Angeles since 1952 .

The John Tracy Clinic was founded, funded and also managed by Louise Treadwell Tracy , wife of the then world-famous American actor Spencer Tracy . She founded the clinic as a charity (non-profit) to offer free education and help for deaf and severely hearing impaired children and their parents.

The clinic is named in honor of Tracy's son, John, who was born with profound hearing impairment.
