John Barlow

John Barlow (* 1798 , † 1869 ) was secretary of the Royal Institution of Great Britain and around 1855 Chaplain-in-Ordinary to Her Majesties Houshold at Kensington Palace .

He received his master's degree and became a member of the Royal Society. He became Vice President and Secretary of the Royal Institution of Great Britain and the organizer of the Friday evening lectures in which Faraday presented, among other things, Bunsen's spectroscopic studies.
