John Fernside

John Fernside (* 20th century, Perth , Australia ) is an Australian film and theater actor.

Life

Fernside worked on stage and made films from 1919 until the 1950s. He made his film debut in 1932 in the Australian musical film His Royal Highness as Giuseppe.

He is best known as the co-star of Chips Rafferty , with whom he worked in two popular Australian films of the 1940s: The Great Bustle (1946) and The Children of Mara-Mara (1947), directed by Ralph Smart . Fernside played his last film role in 1957 in the anthology Three in One as a tramp.
