The Chronicles of Araluen ( Ranger's Apprentice )

The novel series revolves around the orphan boy Will, who begins an apprenticeship with the ranger Walt. Together they fight and trick their way through the first three volumes. In the fifth volume Will has completed his training as a ranger, but the 7th volume falls back again, up to about 3 months before Will's apprenticeship and his admission as a full ranger, and plays between parts 4 and 5. He shows how difficult it is Life as a ranger can be. In the seventh volume he is really on his own for the first time, but in the other volumes his friends Walt, Horace and his pony Reisser are by his side again.

filming

In a video message in 2013, John Flanagan announced that a film version of the first part of the Chronicles of Araluen was planned. The screenplay was written by the screenwriter of Casino Royale , Paul Haggis and will also be made into a film by him. An article in the New York Times published a date that work should begin in autumn 2016.
