John G. Wright

John G. Wright (actually Joseph Vanzler ; * 1902 in Samarqand , Russian Empire , † June 21, 1956 in New York , USA ) was a Russian-American translator and Trotskyist activist. He is best known for his translations of the writings of Leon Trotsky into English.

Wright was a founding member of the Socialist Workers Party in 1938 and became one of its leaders. He published several hundred articles in the party organ The Militant .
