John Goto

John Goto (born 1949 in Stockport , Great Britain ) is an English artist. He lives and works in Oxford .

From 1965 to 1967 Goto studied at Berkshire College of Art, then three more years at St. Martin's School of Art (later Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design ). From 1987 to 2002 he taught as a visiting professor in Oxford , Jerusalem , Russia and Finland, among others . Since 2003 he has been teaching at the University of Derby . John Goto is internationally known in photo-digital art. He has had solo exhibitions at Tate Britain in London and the National Portrait Gallery (London), among others .
