John Insalaco

John Insalaco (* in Rochester, New York) is a US local politician and mayor of Apache Junction , Arizona .

Born in upstate New York on the east coast , Insalaco moved to the southwestern United States in 1970 . First he lived in Globe (Arizona) , since 1987 he has lived in Apache Junction. With his brother, John ran a music shop and upholstery shop until 2011 .

In Globe, John Insalaco served on the school committee for nine years, and in 1972 he was named Citizen of the Year. In Apache Junction, he was first elected to the city council in 1997, where he stayed until 2007 with a two-year break. In 2007, Insalaco was elected mayor of Apache Junction for the first time and was last confirmed in office in March 2013 - unopposed.
