John Kavanagh
John Kavanagh (born before 1970) is an Irish actor and comedian. He is known for his roles in Mel Gibson's Braveheart as Craig and in Oliver Stone's Alexander as Parmenion. Since 2013 he has played the role of the seer in the Canadian-Irish television series Vikings .
Life
Little is known about John Kavanagh, although he has appeared in more than 20 films over the course of his career. He is considered one of the most misunderstood Irish character actors. His career began in 1970 with a small role in the Irish comedy Paddy and in the same year, he landed a role in the World War II drama outbreak of the 28 .
He is the father of Rachel Kavanagh, who is also an actress.
