John Larsson
John Larsson (born April 2, 1938 in Stockholm ) was the 17th General of the Salvation Army from 2002 to 2006 . Born the son of Salvation Army officers, Larsson studied music in Denmark , Chile , Argentina and England . He was awarded the "Bachelor of Divinity" (London). He has been an officer in the Salvation Army since 1957 and was stationed in England, Scotland, Chile, New Zealand and Sweden. Together with his predecessor John Gowans , he wrote various musicals, with John Larsson responsible for the music and John Gowans for the text.
