John Mikkelsen Lauridsen (born April 2, 1959 in Ribe ) is a former Danish football player .
Career
Lauridsen started his career at Esbjerg fB . In his first season at Esbjerg he won the Danish championship . In 1982 he moved to Spain to Espanyol Barcelona . He reached the 1988 UEFA Cup final with Espanyol , where they lost to Bayer 04 Leverkusen . During the time in Barcelona , he was called to the Danish squad for the 1984 European Championships in France . Lauridsen was used twice and even scored one goal. Denmark were eliminated in the semifinals. In 1988 he switched to CD Málaga . After eight years on the Iberian Peninsula , the midfielder returned to his native Denmark in 1990 and played two more seasons at Esbjerg fB.
Internationally, he ran 27 times for the Danish team and scored three goals.
