John Paddy Carstairs

John Paddy Carstairs (born May 11, 1910 in London , † December 12, 1970 in Lingston ; actually John Keys ) was a British writer , film director and screenwriter .

Life

Carstairs came to film at an early age and began as a camera and assistant director. From 1936 he directed regularly, with the main part of his work being comedies with little depth. In addition to the scripts for some of his films, Carstairs wrote over 30 novels and also made a name for himself as a painter. For television, he directed episodes of series such as Simon Templar . His brother was the production manager and film producer Anthony Nelson Keys .
