John Priscu

John Charles Priscu (born September 20, 1952 ) is a geoscientist and ecologist at Montana State University . He studied microbiology at the University of California and limnology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas . Priscu is an internationally recognized specialist in living under extreme environmental conditions, especially in the Antarctic. His research on Lake Vostok became known . The Priscu Stream and the Priscu Valley in East Antarctic Victoria Land are named after him.
