John Reynolds (politician, 1794)

John Reynolds (* 1794 ; † 1868 ) was an Irish politician.

Reynolds, himself a Catholic and a political follower of Daniel O'Connell , was a member of the House of Commons for the City of Dublin constituency from 1847 to 1852 . He was also a councilor in Dublin, and as such was elected Lord Mayor of the city in December 1849. His tenure began on January 1, 1850 and lasted the rest of the year. After leaving the House of Commons in 1852, he retired from politics.

Reynolds died in 1868 at the age of 73 and was buried in Glasnevin Cemetery .
