The John Walter Farmstead is a historic homestead of three buildings in Washington Township , Westmoreland County , State of Pennsylvania . It is located on Mamont Drive at number 166 and is open to the public.

The foundation is laid with stone, the walls partly made of brick , partly with wooden paneling . The roof construction is laid with slate . Another building material is asphalt . According to the National Register of Historic Places , the homestead ran from 1825 to 1849; from 1850 to 1874; from 1875 to 1899; and from 1900 to 1924 a particular architectural significance ( Greek Revival ). The years 1846 and 1848 are emphasized here.

The John Walter Farmstead was listed on July 21, 1995 on the National Register of Historic Places with the number 95000885.
