Johnnie Wilder

Johnnie Wilder (born July 3, 1949 in Dayton , Ohio , † May 13, 2006 in Clayton , Ohio) was an American singer .

Johnnie Wilder and his brother Keith were US soldiers and stationed in Germany and together founded the radio group Heatwave in 1975 . Then they went to London and the USA.

Wilder had the hits "Boogie Nights" (2nd place in the pop charts, 1977) and "Always and Forever" in the 1970s . In 1979 he was in a car accident and was paralyzed from the neck down.

After the accident, Wilder continued to co-produce Heatwave. In 1988 he changed the musical direction to gospel and released the album My Goal . The single In The Garden was released in 1990. The album One more Day was released later .

He died at the age of 56.
