Johnny Rockets is an American hamburger restaurant chain designed in the style of the American diners of the 1950s.
history
On June 6, 1986, the first Johnny Rockets eatery opened on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, and in 2007 the 200th restaurant in Glendale. The chain sells over 13 million hamburgers a year. The individual restaurants are run as franchise companies.
Decorative elements such as chrome, red leather seats and posters are used. There is a small jukebox on each table , through which songs can be selected using five-cent pieces.
The staff serve the guests at the table and the dishes are only prepared to order. The restaurant is also known for singing and dancing by the staff in some branches, as well as for a smiley face made of ketchup on the french fries .
In addition to hamburgers, milkshakes are a specialty of the house.
The restaurant chain is also represented in the shopping malls of some cruise ships of the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line (Voyager class, Freedom class) and also operates a few smaller restaurants in some amusement parks, such as Six Flags Magic Mountain , but often only a limited one Offer range of dishes.
In 2009 the first Johnny Rockets branch opened in Germany at the airport of the US Air Force Base Ramstein . However, this is not open to the public.
