The Joice Icefall is a 5 km wide glacial break in East Antarctic Victoria Land . With a height difference of 250 m, it extends from the polar plateau through the Millen Range to the Lensen Glacier .
The southern group of the New Zealand Federated Mountain Clubs Antarctic Expedition (1962-1963) named him after Ian Joice, a field research assistant of the group.
