Joint Committee for Guides in Metrology
The Joint Committee for Guides in Metrology ( JCGM ) is an international metrological organization that was founded in 1997. It is responsible for the publication of the two metrological standard publications GUM ( Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement ) and VIM (originally International Vocabulary of Basic and General Terms in Metrology , now International Vocabulary of Metrology - Basic and General Concepts and Associated Terms ) responsible.
