Jonas Korenka

Jonas Korenka (born February 11, 1956 in Plungė ) is a Lithuanian theater director and politician.

Life

After graduating from secondary school in 1974, he studied directing at the Klaipėda department of Lietuvos valstybinė konservatorija in 1982 , and in 1988 he continued his education in Moscow . In 2003 he completed his master's degree in directing at the Klaipėdos universitetas . From 1982 to 1993 he was a director in the Rokiškis Popular Theater , from 1987 to 1991 he taught at the Rokiškis Culture School. From 1993 to 2000 he was director and art director of the theater. From 1997 to 2003 he was a member of the council of the Rokiškis district community . From 2000 to 2004 he was a member of the Seimas . From 2005 he worked at Lietuvos nacionalinis dramos teatras as Deputy Director General for Marketing .

Since 1997 he has been a member of Lietuvos socialdemokratų partija .
