Jonathan Winter
Jonathan David Winter (born August 18, 1971 in Masterton ) is a former New Zealand swimmer . Winter was one of the best back swimmers in his country in the mid-1990s.
He celebrated his greatest sporting success in 1995 when he won the gold medal at the World Short Course Championships in Rio de Janeiro as a member of the New Zealand 4 × 100 meter medley relay. The relay won with the fourth-best time ever and set a new New Zealand national record.
Winter also took part in the 1994 Commonwealth Games and the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta .
