Jong Chan or Jung Chan (born July 3, 1953 in Pusan , South Kyŏngsang Province ) is a South Korean writer .

Life

Jong Chan was born in Pusan in 1953 under the name Chŏng (Jong) Ch'an-dong and completed his studies in didactics of the Korean language at the Pedagogical Faculty of Seoul National University . He began his writing career with the publication of his short story The Tower of Language in the literary magazine "World of Language" (Ŏnŏ-ŭi segye). After his debut he mainly and intensively dealt with the world of consciousness such as B. the relationship between man and power or the question of redemption and God apart.
