Jordan K. Hubbard (born August 8, 1963 Honolulu , Hawaii ) is an American computer scientist, one of the founders of the FreeBSD project and a long-time member of the FreeBSD core team. Among other things, he developed the framework for the FreeBSD ports .

From 2001 to 2013 he was in charge of the Unixoid part of Mac OS X at Apple and headed the “BSD Technology Group”; from 2005 he was “Director of UNIX Technology”. In October 2007, Hubbard became the Director of Engineering of Unix Technologies.

On July 15, 2013, Hubbard joined iXsystems as CTO .

In April 2020, he stated that he worked at Nvidia .
