Jordan Mechner (2010)

Jordan Mechner (born June 4, 1964 in New York City ) is an American game developer.

He became known mainly with his game Prince of Persia . But also the games Karateka (1984), The Last Express (1997) and the other parts of Prince of Persia in which he worked ( Prince of Persia 2 , Prince of Persia 3D and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time ) were included awarded several prizes.

Mechner graduated from Yale University in 1985 . In addition to his work as a game developer, he worked as a screenwriter.

In 2010, the first video game of the newer Prince of Persia trilogy was filmed under the title Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time after its script.

On April 17, 2012 Jordan Mechner published the source code of Prince of Persia for the Apple II on GitHub, which had previously been believed to be lost .
