Jordi Valls (* 1960 in Barcelona , Catalonia ) is a Spanish musician and conceptual artist who became known for his collaboration with Psychic TV and his own provocative concepts for his project Vagina Dentata Organ .

In 1978 or 1979 he had first contact with Genesis P-Orridge in England and organized concerts by Throbbing Gristle in the Centro Iberico in London. In 1982 he contributed to the recording of Psychic TV's debut album Force the hand of chance, the text for the piece Catalan , in which he processed his experiences from a car accident. After the album was released, Spanish television invited Psychic TV and Valls to Cadaques to produce a video clip for Catalan with Derek Jarman . In this apocalyptic clip, Valls is first seen covered in blood at the wheel of his vehicle that had been found in a junkyard and crashed two years earlier, later he marches through the scene as the undead wielding a whip.

The recordings for the Catalan clip were followed by an appearance on the Spanish television show La Edad de Oro on October 16, 1984 . Valls performed there once on his already released LP Music for Hashashins , which originally only consists of the growl of a fighting dog. For the live presentation, Valls generated a synthetic growl on an emulator, but also had 16 sheepdogs with them on stage. During the performance, the artist destroyed three original paintings by the Catalan painter Casademont, which he slit open with sabers, effectively splattering a lot of blood from previously attached bags.

On his own label WSNS (World Satanic Network System or World Surrealist Network System) Valls released several obscure concept albums under the project name Vagina Dentata Organ . After Music for Hashashins came The last supper . This disc contains original recordings of the mass suicide of the Volkstempel sect under the Reverend Jim Jones in Guyana in 1978. The first edition was published in an edition of 912 Picture Discs , this supposedly corresponds to the number of those killed. In 1984 he worked on the next publication, the Picture Disc Triumph of the flesh , which contains recordings of an Easter ritual ( Semana Santa ) from Calanda (Spain) , in which drummers often drum their fingers bloody for days, and on their vinyl for one Part of the edition real human blood was incorporated. It was followed in 1986 by the Picturedisk Cold Meat , on which couples can be heard having sex, while the two sides of the record show the corpses of Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley . The Picturedisks Music for Hashashins and The last supper were re-released in larger numbers and as normal, black LPs from 1987 by P-Orridge's label Temple Records .

After a break of several years, Valls released his last album to date with the CD Un Chien Catalan in 1995 , on which only the engine noises of the Harley of the Spanish surrealist Eliseu Huertas i Cos can be heard.

Valls, who has lived in Spain and England for some time, described himself as a nihilist and his project Vagina Dentata Organ as "the most fanatic band in the world". He calls the hammer his favorite instrument.
