Jorge Rojas (poet)
Jorge Rojas (* 1911 in Santa Rosa de Viterbo , Boyacá ; † 1995 ) was a Colombian poet.
Rojas studied economics and law in Bogotá. His lyrics were influenced by Juan Ramón Jiménez . He founded the group Piedra y cielo , who u. a. Also Eduardo Carranza belonged.
The Rosa de Agua sonnet collection is considered to be Roja's main work . Composers such as Luis Antonio Escobar and Gilardo Gilardi set his poems to music.
