Jorge Traverso

Jorge Traverso (actually Schubert Pérez ; born March 29, 1947 in Montevideo , Uruguay) is a Uruguayan journalist , radio and television presenter.

Life

Traverso began his journalistic activity in the mid-1960s as a film critic in brochures of the Cine Club del Uruguay .

In the following years he worked for various newspapers, radio and TV stations. In the print media sector he worked for El Oriental , Mundocolor , Opinar , El País and Búsqueda , where he was involved in reporting in the areas of film and entertainment. As early as 1968, he was reviewing films for the radio station CX 16 Radio Carve . In the 1970s he then wrote for the magazine of the Kinemathek and in 1972 he presented the program En vivo y en directo on Canal 12 for a few months . From the following year until 1984 he was a presenter on Radio Sarandí for around eleven years on the broadcast of the same name. This was followed in 1985 by a short period at Canal 5 . There he did not spend more than three months on the program En voz alta . From the following year he presented Hablemos on Canal 10 , for which he also from 1990 to 2007 - together with Blanca Rodríguez by - Subrayado led. Also from 1986 Traverso was again on the microphone for his former employer Radio Sarandí as part of the program Buenas tardes . He moderated this program until October 1993. From then on he took over the management of the station CX 24 Nuevotiempo , initially at Neber Araújo's side , which he left at the end of 2002. During this time he moderated Nuevo tiempo para todos until he left in December 2002 . In 2001 he was awarded the Legión del Libro by the Cámara Uruguaya del Libro .
