José Almanzor

José Almanzor Martínez (born December 28, 1929 in Guadalajara , † November 10, 2017 ) was a Mexican archer .

Almanzor took part in the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich and finished the archery competition on rank 52 out of 55 started shooters.

He later became a coach and was still involved in sport in 2008, for example.

His grandson Eduardo Vélez also started as an archer at the Olympic Games for Mexico.
