José Barreto Quintas da Silva

José Barreto Quintas da Silva (born September 9, 1998 ) is an East Timorese boxer . The athlete is 155 cm tall.

At the 2019 Southeast Asian Games in the Philippines , East Timor had to wait a long time for a medal. The Filipino spectators, however, were enthusiastic about the sporting spirit of the East Timorese, who nevertheless continued to exert themselves. There was a great wave of sympathy for the East Timorese athletes. Eventually, Silva won the bronze medal in flyweight boxing .

Silva had already competed in the flyweight division at the 2018 Asian Games , but remained there without a medal.
