José Carlos Rodrigues

José Carlos Rodrigues Silva (born July 4, 1978 in Vila Nova de Famalicão ) is a Portuguese cyclist .

José Carlos Rodrigues began his career in 2001 with the Portuguese cycling team Jodofer-Abóboda . In his first year there, he won the second stage of the Volta a Terras de Santa Maria. The next year he moved to Carvalhelhos-Boavista , where he won a section of the Grande Prémio Abimota in 2003 and won a stage of the Volta a Tras os Montes ej Alto Douro in 2004. In 2005 Rodrigues drove one season for Paredes Rota dos Móveis and won the Spanish one-day race Gran Premio Ciudad de Vigo . In 2006 he moved back to Carvalhelhos-Boavista and in 2007 to Vitória-ASC . In the 2007 season he won the two one-day races Clasica de Amarante and Circuito de Nafarros and part of the Grande Prémio Vinhos da Estremadura. In 2008 Rodrigues drove for the Portuguese Continental Team Liberty Seguros .
