José Luis Caballero
José Luis Caballero Cárdenas (born January 22, 1922 in San Miguel de Allende , † May 18, 2009 ) was a Mexican lawyer and singer.
Caballero served as a lawyer and judge at the Tribunal Superior de Justicia . He founded the Asociación Nacional de Intérpretes (ANDI) and acted as president of its board of directors several times. He was also head of the Department of International Affairs of the Sociedad de Autores y Compositores de México (SACM). As a singer he became known with boleros from musicians such as Agustín Lara , Mario Ruiz Armengol , Vicente Garrido , Consuelito Velazquez , Gonzalo Curiel , Luis Arcaráz and Gabriel Ruiz . He died of pancreatic cancer in 2009.
