Midfielder Magallanes played at least 1927 and 1929 for the Rampla Juniors in the Primera División . With the team he won the championship title of 1927. In the championship season he was part of the team's regular formation.
National team
Magallanes was a member of the Uruguayan senior team . He was also a member of the Celeste squad at the South American Championships in Argentina in 1929 , when Uruguay finished third out of four participating teams. During the tournament he was used in the encounters against Paraguay and Peru .
