José María del Nido Benavente (born August 6, 1957 in Seville ) was President of Sevilla FC from May 27, 2002 to December 9, 2013 .

He has a law firm and is a partner and director of Utrera Sevilla Nervión SA (the company owns 31.95% of the share capital of the Sevilla Club). He is also a member of the Board of Directors (Junta Directiva) of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and legal advisor to the Liga de Fútbol Profesional (LFP).

On December 20, 2011, a corruption trial against del Nido Benavente ended in the first instance before the Málaga District Court, where he was sentenced to 7 years and 6 months in prison without parole. However, the sentence was well below the demands of the prosecutor, who had asked for a 30-year prison sentence without parole. As a lawyer, Del Nido Benavente had falsely billed the city of Marbella for 6.7 million euros between 1999 and 2003. In addition to del Nido Benavente, his successor, Julián Muñoz, was sentenced to 7 years and 6 months in prison without parole for corruption.
