José Mauro Valente
José Mauro Valente (born July 1, 1969 ) is a former Brazilian middle -distance runner who specialized in the 1500-meter distance .
In 1990 he won bronze at the Ibero-American Championships, and in 1991 he won the Pan-American Games in Havana .
At the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Barcelona in 1995 he was ninth. He won silver at the Ibero-American Championships in 1996 and at the South American Athletics Championships in 1997 .
He set his personal best of 3: 38.07 minutes on May 21, 1994 in São Paulo .
