José Riço Direitinho
José Riço Direitinho (* 1965 in Lisbon ) is a Portuguese writer .
Life
Direitinho studied agricultural science and agricultural sociology. He has received numerous prizes for his literary production, including the 1994 Grande Prémio de Romance e Novela of the Portuguese writers' association APE Translations into other languages made him one of the main representatives of the new generation of Portuguese writers. His work mostly deals with the rural population of Portugal and their mysticism . Many of his books have been translated into German.
