Josef Breurather

Josef Breurather (born October 27, 1926 in Garsten ; † May 31, 2016 ) was an Upper Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and an insurance employee . Breurather was a member of the Upper Austrian state parliament from 1979 to 1986 .

Breurather worked professionally as an insurance employee and politically rooted in local politics. Between 1961 and 1986 he was a member of the Sierning municipal council and between 1967 and 1974 he was deputy mayor. He then held the office of mayor of Sierning between 1974 and January 9, 1987. During his tenure, Sierning was raised to a market town. Breurather represented the SPÖ between October 25, 1979 and December 10, 1986 in the Upper Austrian state parliament. Breurather served on the Constitution and Administration Committee, the General Internal Affairs Committee, and the Rules of Procedure committee.
