Josef Hilgarth

Josef Hilgarth (born October 23, 1898 in Atzgersdorf ; † October 12, 1975 in Mödling ) was an Austrian district school inspector and politician ( ÖVP ). Hilgarth was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament and from 1963 to 1964 a regional councilor in the Lower Austrian state government .

Hilgarth attended the teacher training college in Vienna and then worked as a primary school teacher in Erlaa and Hürm . After that he taught at the community school teacher in Atzgersdorf. Hilgarth was mayor of Atzgersdorf between 1934 and 1938 and was arrested after the National Socialists came to power in 1938 and declared unworthy of defense. Nevertheless, from 1944 to 1945 he held the office of district school inspector for Hollabrunn and Mistelbach.

Hilgarth was provincial and federal chairman of the teachers section of the ÖAAB and was elected to the Lower Austrian state parliament on November 5, 1949. He held the office of club chairman from 1962 to 1964 and was sworn in as regional councilor on January 24th. Hilgarth resigned on November 19, 1964 as a member of parliament and state councilor. In addition, he was chairman of the financial control committee from February 17, 1955 to January 24, 1963.

He was buried in the Atzgersdorf cemetery .
