Lower Austrian provincial government
The Lower Austrian provincial government is the highest administrative body in the Austrian state of Lower Austria . As prima inter pares, the Governor of the State presides . This is Johanna Mikl-Leitner since 2017 . She heads the state government of Mikl-Leitner II and represents the state of Lower Austria externally.
Current members of the state government
The Lower Austrian provincial government was last elected by the Lower Austrian state parliament on March 22, 2018. It consists of nine members. Six members of the ÖVP, two of the SPÖ and one member of the FPÖ are nominated. The state government is composed according to the proportional system . This means that all parties with a certain number of representatives in the state parliament are represented by at least one seat in the government.
