The Raiffeisenbank Nidwalden based in Stans in Nidwalden is one of Raiffeisen Switzerland , the merger all Swiss Raiffeisen banks. It was created in 2017 from the merger of the Raiffeisenbank Region Stans and the Raiffeisenbank Vierwaldstättersee-Süd .

History of the Raiffeisenbank Region Stans

The Raiffeisenbank Region Stans goes back to the founding of the Raiffeisenkasse Hergiswil on April 25, 1909 on the initiative of the local Christian social association. After opening the branch in Stansstad in 1985, the bank changed its name to Raiffeisenbank Hergiswil-Stansstad.

On July 10, 1932, the Dallenwil loan office was founded and the Raiffeisenkasse Wolfenschiessen was founded on June 19, 1938 . Both merged in 1999 to form Raiffeisenbank Dallenwil-Wolfenschiessen and changed their name to Raiffeisenbank Stans-Dallenwil-Wolfenschiessen in 2000 after the opening of the branch in Stans

In 2005 the Raiffeisen banks Hergiswil-Stansstad and Stans-Dallenwil-Wolfenschiessen merged to form the Raiffeisenbank Region Stans .

Raiffeisenbank Vierwaldstättersee-Süd goes back to the founding of the Buochs ​​loan office on April 10, 1910, which changed its name to Raiffeisenbank Buochs ​​in 1986 .
