education and profession

The jury attended the elementary school in Gmünd between 1968 and 1972 and then the local secondary school until 1976. Between 1976 and 1977 he graduated from commercial school in Spittal an der Drau and then began an apprenticeship as a baker and confectioner, which he completed in 1981. After that, the jury did military service in 1982 and successfully passed the master baker's and confectioner's examination in 1987.

After completing his apprenticeship as a baker and confectioner, the jury was employed as a baker and confectioner journeyman between 1981 and 1987. Jury then worked as a managing master baker and confectioner until 2003, and in 2003 he went into business for himself as a master baker and confectioner.

politics

The jury was active as a councilor in the Gmünd municipality between 1993 and 1997 and was a member of the town council between 1997 and 2005. Jury has been mayor of the municipality since 2005. The jury initially belonged to the FPÖ, but switched to the BZÖ in the course of the split (2005–2009). The jury was a successful candidate for the BZÖ in Carinthia in the 2008 National Council election . The jury was ranked fourth on the state list of the BZÖ-Carinthia, but was elected in the constituency of Carinthia West via a direct mandate in the National Council and on October 28, 2008, was sworn in as a member of the BZÖ. In the BZÖ parliamentary club, the jury had no area spokesperson.

On December 16, 2009, the Carinthian BZÖ and the jury split off from the Federal BZÖ and, as the FPK, sought to work closely with the FPÖ. Both parties remained independent with their own bodies. At that time the jury was a so-called “wild MP” without its own parliamentary club. After the reunification of the FPK with the FPÖ, the jury was then a member of the FPÖ club from November 2010 to October 2013.
