Josef Kleindienst (writer)

Josef Kleindienst (born February 4, 1972 in Spittal an der Drau ) is an Austrian writer and actor.

Life

Kleindienst studied philosophy and theater studies in Vienna and Amsterdam. Among other things, he worked as a journalist and as a German lecturer in Yemen .

In 2008 he was invited to the Berlin Radio Play Festival with Become a Member , and in 2010 he was invited to the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize . His debut novel was also published in 2010. On the day I kissed my hairdresser, many birds died. In 2011 he received the Vienna Dramatic Scholarship and in 2012 the Carinthia Promotion Prize for literature . In 2013 his story Freifahrt was published . Occasionally he also works as an actor, for example in Daniel Hoesl's film Soldate Jeannette (2013).
