history

The publishing house was founded in 1984 by Dieter Bandhauer , who has been managing director since then.

Sonderzahl is a member of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce , the working group of Austrian private publishers and the main association of the Austrian book trade .

Publishing program

Since the mid-1990s, the critical examination of Austrian identity and contemporary history has been a focus of the publishing program. Essays by Rudolf Burger , Konrad Paul Liessmann Der gute Mensch von Österreich and Robert Menasse have appeared .
