Josef Lenzi

Josef Lenzi (born July 8, 1924 in Häring ; † April 25, 1993 in Bad Häring ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and ÖBB official. Lenzi was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1975 to 1985 .

Life

After primary school, Lenzi attended grammar school and then studied law at the University of Innsbruck , where he received his doctorate in 1950. After his court practice, he was a member of the board of directors and an employee of the Austrian Federal Railways from 1952.

At least from 1966 to 1968 Josef Lenzi worked in the general management of the Austrian Federal Railways in the commercial management as a specialist in salary group IXb. In 1977 he was assigned to salary group X in the General Directorate of the Austrian Federal Railways in the Finance Directorate as head of the taxes, financial statistics and business report department , but relieved of his position as a member of the National Council .

politics

In the political field, Lenzi was active as a local councilor in Bad Häring, where he held the office of Vice Mayor from 1974 to 1977. From 1969 he was also a member of the regional party executive of the SPÖ Tyrol and from 1974 chairman of the district organization of the SPÖ Kufstein. Lenzi also represented the Social Democratic Party of Austria from November 4, 1975 to December 31, 1985 in the National Council.
