Josef Meisinger (politician)

Josef Meisinger (born September 11, 1943 in Feldkirchen an der Donau ) is a former Austrian politician ( FPÖ ). Meisinger was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1990 to 1999 .

Meisinger attended elementary school from 1949 to 1954 and then secondary school until 1958. Meisinger then learned the trade of model maker and passed the master craftsman examination, in 1963 he did military service. After his apprenticeship, Meisinger worked as a model maker for various companies and from 1972 as an appointment clerk and employee at VOEST-Alpine-Stahl.

Meisinger was a local councilor in Feldkirchen an der Donau from 1980 and from 1980 to 1990 took over the function of chairman of the FPÖ local council group. From 1990 Meisinger was a member of the state party leadership of the FPÖ Upper Austria and in 1994 was elected district party chairman of the FPÖ Urfahr-Umgebung. From 1994 he was also a member of the Chamber of Labor in Upper Austria . Meisinger represented the FPÖ from November 5, 1990 to October 28, 1999 in the Austrian National Council. In 1994 he obtained a direct mandate in the Mühlviertel constituency.
