Josef Schumacher (politician, 1841)

Josef Schumacher (born April 24, 1841 in Stommeln ; † November 30, 1904 ) was a German public prosecutor and parliamentarian.

Life

Josef Schumacher studied law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn . In 1862 he became a member of the Corps Saxonia Bonn . After graduating, he entered the Prussian judicial service. In 1886 he became the first public prosecutor at the regional court in Brieg and in 1891 in Koblenz . He was a captain in the Landwehr.

After a by-election in 1889, Schumacher sat from 1890 to 1893 as a member of the constituency of Breslau 11 (Ohlau, Brieg) in the Prussian House of Representatives . From 1892 to 1893 he was Secretary of Parliament. He belonged to the faction of the Free Conservative Party .
