Josef Zaunegger

Josef Albert Zaunegger (born January 26, 1851 in Vorchdorf , † March 28, 1923 in Grieskirchen ) was an Austrian pharmacist and Christian social politician.

Josef Zaunegger studied at the University of Graz after attending grammar school. From 1883 to 1898 he worked as a pharmacist in Grieskirchen. He was a member of the district school council of Wels and Grieskirchen, chairman of the agricultural district association, senior curator of the Upper Austria mortgage company and member of the Sparkasse management.

From 1890 to 1895 he was a member of the Upper Austrian Landtag ( eighth electoral period ), from 1897 to 1918 a member of the Austrian Reichsrat ( IX. , XI. And XII. Legislative period ) and from 1903 to 1919 Vice Mayor of Grieskirchen. From October 21, 1918 to February 16, 1919 he was a member of the Provisional National Assembly .
