Josef Zelger

Josef Zelger (born February 2, 1940 in Sterzing ) is an Austrian social philosopher and knowledge theorist.

Life

Zelger studied theology, physics, psychology and philosophy at the University of Innsbruck and received his doctorate in 1972 with the thesis Concepts for measuring power . In 1980 he completed his habilitation and from 1983 to 2005 was a university professor in Innsbruck and a member of the Institute for Philosophy and Philosophy of Science at the University of Innsbruck .

He is committed to the research process GABEK (holistic management of complexity), in which transcribed texts are analyzed. GABEK is a qualitative method with the help of which unstructured texts are analyzed on the basis of perceptual shapes.
