Josefine Ernst-Kaiser

Josefine Ernst-Kaiser , nee Jozefa Kaiser , also Josephine Ernst-Kayser or Josepha Kaiser ( 1820 in Budapest - July 10, 1873 there ) was a Hungarian opera singer ( coloratura soprano ).

Life

Ernst-Kaiser worked at the Court Theater in Vienna from 1844 to 1845, from 1845 to 1846 in Pest, from 1846 to 1847 in Mainz, from 1847 to 1848 at the Theater an der Wien, from 1848 to 1851 in Prague and from 1851 to 1861 in Pest .

Her best roles included "Night Walker", "Regiment's Daughter" and "Isabella".

She was married to journalist Moritz Ernst, a brother of Heinrich Wilhelm Ernst . Her son was the opera singer Heinrich Ernst .
