History and architecture
Today's east wing of the three-wing complex was built by Johann-Caspar Tüllmann in around 1835. The west wing was added around 1950. The system in a mixed construction of half-timbered and masonry with steel cap ceilings is partly plastered and partly, as is typical for the region, slated . Due to the facility built into the slope, the inner courtyard is accessed via a passage from the street. The staircase was extensively renovated in October 2010. en After it was sold in 1850, a textile shop was operated in the house, and a commercial section with a side wall was added. The Franciscan Sisters of Salzkotten took over the facility in 1908 in order to set up a child care school there and to offer nursing facilities, which were mainly offered on an outpatient basis in the village. The 1912 extension was used as a classroom during World War II and thereafter. A doctor maintained his practice in the building from 1921 to 1929. The chapel wing was built in the 1950s together with various functional rooms. The last two nuns left the building at the end of 2012 due to old age.
